Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist at Gotham Health/Cumberland, an ambulatory FQHC community-based practice for the NYC Health + Hospitals System.  The Center emphasizes primary and preventive care, working to help identify and achieve health goals. Gotham Health, Cumberland is located in a dynamic and vibrant area of downtown Brooklyn, within the vicinity of the Barclay center, Atlantic, Museums, BAM, Parks and very easy access to Manhattan!

Responsibilities

PAGNY Gotham Health is seeking a Full Time Ultrasound Technologist to join our Cumberland Facility in Brooklyn.

 

  • Under general guidance, performs diagnostic sonography and manages data collection and organization of the ultrasound rooms
  • Responsibilities
  • Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
  • Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
  • Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
  • Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
  • Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members

 

Qualifications

  • Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Completion of an AMA approved school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Proficient in all areas of general Ultrasound
  • Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance
  • Bilingual Preferred, but not required
