Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Metropolitan Hospital accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities

The department of Pathology at Metropolitan is seeking an Attending Pathologist.

  • Diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology specimens, biopsies and frozen sections. 
  • Attending Conferences/Tumor Board
  • Sign out of autopsies
  • Provide on call coverage for frozen sections

Schedule: Monday-Friday 

Qualifications

  • Board certified by American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP
  • Must qualify for New York State Medical License at the time of proposed employment
  • Must possess a valid updated certificate of qualification from the New York State Department of Health for the laboratory sections or eligible to receive this certificate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Salary Amount: Board Eligible $226,000  Board Certified $230,000 (Productivity Bonus)
