Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is hiring a Chief of Ambulatory Care at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. Accommodating more than 250,000 outpatient visits, and more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College Of Osteopathic Medicine

The Chief of Ambulatory Care serves to oversee and improve the outpatient clinical services; oversee the operational services, in conjunction with the Ambulatory Care administrative lead; and to represent Ambulatory Care facility-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the clinical providers in Ambulatory Care
  • This position is 60% clinical 40% administrative 
  • Provide educational and academic leadership
  • Oversee improvement initiatives in outpatient services
  • Represent the facility in system-wide and facility-based meetings with direct responsibility for Ambulatory Care services
  • Oversee Ambulatory Care performance metrics and performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Board Certification in an Ambulatory Care Specialty Field
  • MD or DO training
  • Minimum 5 years' experience practicing medicine as a board certified physician
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience serving an under-served patient population preferred
