Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatrician specializing in Infectious Disease to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital provides outpatient health care for children and teens up to age 18 on the campus and in community-based Family Health Clinics. Kings County operates a renowned Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving 2.6 million children. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

Responsibilities

  • To oversee inpatient consults for Ped. Infectious Disease consults (1 in 3) in addition to Fellowship primary coverage and serve as Director of the Ped. Infectious Dis division in the department at Kings County and be a part of the Academic Division at SUNY DHSU
  • Conduct Ambulatory Care Sessions for Ped. Infectious Dis. conditions including Ped HIV and exposed infants born to HIV positive mothers
  • Support of Pediatric Hospitalist team as needed
  • Provide education and training to medical students, residents, hospital staff and community partners
  • Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University available commensurate with experience
  • Report directly to the Chair of Pediatrics at Kings County with mentorship and growth opportunities for research, in the education and administrative tracks based on interest of the candidate

Qualifications

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Disease 
  • Borad Certification in Pediatrics
