We are currently considering applications for the position of Trauma Surgeon at Lincoln Medical Center.
Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, located just 15 minutes from NYC, is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dedicated to providing high quality patient care to a diverse community, Lincoln Hospital is a NYS designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties.
Our busy level I Trauma Center experienced approximately1800 admissions in 2014 with 35% penetrating.
We seek a BC/BE general surgeon with trauma and/or surgical critical care fellowship to join the faculty in a full time equivalent position.
Participation in an accredited Level 1 Trauma program, emergency and elective General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care in a fully integrated service practice with a house staff that includes designated trauma mid-level providers. Responsibilities also include participation in a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency and Surgical Critical Care/Trauma fellowship programs. Candidates who are board certified or board eligible in general surgery and surgical critical care encouraged to apply for this open-rank position. Qualified candidates will show a dedication to trauma and/or critical care, excellent clinical skills with a strong commitment to research and teaching.
- Degree in Medicine from an accredited school.
- A NYS Medical license, board eligibility or Board Certification in General Surgery with current BLS, ACLS, ATLS & PALS certifications.
- Completion of 1-2 year fellowship program, M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy or a recent surgical resident graudate with at least five years of training within a level 1 trauma center.
