Harlem Hospital Center provides a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and family support services. The hospital is a 286 bed acute care facility and a designated Level 1 Trauma Center, with a full spectrum of specialty services, including a burn unit, an adult intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a cardiac care unit.

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients in this community based hospital.  The Physician will be accountable to the Chief, Surgical Service for assuring the most effective delivery of care in the ENT section while meeting or exceeding compliance standards.

 

The major duties for this position include treatment of ENT diseases.  The ideal candidate will be a BC/BE Otolaryngologist, a strong interest in general ENT among all age groups, sub-specialty interest will also be considered. Physician will share night and weekend call and will be required to perform administrative components of patient care management as noted in the facility by-laws and policies. Performs duties that are required to meet CMS and other NYS regulatory guidelines for patient management.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in ENT.
  • MD/DO from approved medical/Osteopathy school and graduation from accredited residency program in ENT.
  • Current New York State license.
  • Candidates must have excellent clinical/communication skills; work well in a team environment and have a strong commitment to serve our multicultural under-served patient population.
  • Experience in a broad range of Otolaryngology cases is required.
