    Responsibilities

    The Neurosurgery service at Coney Island Hospital is looking to hire a full time Physician Assistant. Our service is 24/7/265 - there is a PA here at all times. Attendings come every day and are available on-site within thirty minutes. It is "PA run" meaning there are no residents within our department. This means you will have a lot of OR experience as well as full inpatient and outpatient management experience. This is an exciting opportunity to work with 4 of the best neurosurgeons in the country.

    This is a position for someone who wants to learn and grow

    Salary commensurate with experience.

    Ideal candidate has surgical experience and can first assist on neurosurgical cases, including closing

    Qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Fully licensed in the State of New York
    • Has BLS/ACLS active (or can acquire quickly)
    • DEA (or can acquire)
    • NCCPA Board Certified 
    • Willing to work some holidays
    •  

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experienced professional preferred, but we are willing to train new grad
    • Is willing and able to work night shifts: this may not be be permanent in your schedule, but is required in the beginning
    • Has worked with EPIC
    • Willing to work OT as needed
