The Department of Medicine Hospitalists are core faculty with primary educational responsibility for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. There are 100 categorical residents and 15 preliminary. In addition, residents from ED, Psychiatry and the Transitional Year program rotate through the department.
We are recruiting Hospitalists with a dedication to academics and commitment to learning. This position requires a team rounding care model with house staff and medical students. All patients are on the teaching service. Hospitalists do not provide direct patient care.
Usual patient load – 10-15 patients with 2-4 admissions/discharges daily. Resident teams are composed of three interns, one resident and usually a medical student.
Base Salary plus Required coverage and annual bonus
Opportunities to moonlight, all calls are with residents and in a supervisory role.
Vacation – 23 days per year
CME – 5 days per year
