Jacobi Medical Center is the largest public hospital in the Bronx (500+ beds) and a Level 1 Trauma Center.  Jacobi is a major academic affiliation and teaching site of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  Recognized as the regional hyperbaric center and regional snakebite center for the tri-state area, Jacobi offers state of the art medical care, delivered with compassion, dignity, and respect.  From preventive medicine to cutting-edge specialty services, Jacobi provides first class care in a wide range of services and specialties.

Jacobi Medical Center is an American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 trauma center. It remains one of the busiest trauma centers in New York City with approximately 2000 admissions per year via our Emergency Department. As a Level 1 trauma center, Jacobi is equipped and resourced to handle all types of injury which may impact multiple body organ systems. Therefore, the Jacobi PA in trauma surgery will need to exercise flexibility and adaptability to manage a broad range of medical and surgical conditions under the supervision of an attending trauma surgeon.
