    In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi our teams accommodate more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually. NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi is renowned for The Trauma Center, staffed to treat any traumatic injury or illness, the fully accredited Breast Health Center, and The Burn Center, with more than 40 years of work in burn care.     Responsibilities

    This position is purely an ambulatory position which involves actively seeing patients in 6 half day sessions at NCB and one half day session at Jacobi Hospital. (Endocrine clinic with Endocrine fellows)

     

    The clinic sessions in North Central Bronx (NCB) is divided into Endocrine and Diabetes and includes performing fine needle biopsy for thyroid nodules.

     

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Supervising internal medicine residents rotating through the endocrine and diabetes clinics
    • Supervising a nurse practitioner working in the diabetes clinic
    • Reviewing and editing endocrine/diabetes clinic notes written by internal medicine residents
    • Available by phone/email consults for primary care providers and house staff
    • Participating in interactive endocrine case based lecture with internal medicine residents rotating through ambulatory medicine. (once every 3-4 months)
