Jacobi Medical Center is the largest public hospital in the Bronx (500+ beds) and a Level 1 Trauma Center.  Jacobi is a major academic affiliation and teaching site of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  Recognized as the regional hyperbaric center and regional snakebite center for the tri-state area, Jacobi offers state of the art medical care, delivered with compassion, dignity, and respect.  From preventive medicine to cutting-edge specialty services, Jacobi provides first class care in a wide range of services and specialties.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a full time Board certified/Board eligible general pediatrician to work in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic at Jacobi Medical Center. This is a busy clinic which serves a largely immigrant population. We are a teaching hospital on the campus of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The position requires someone who enjoys teaching residents and medical students in the outpatient setting as this is a major responsibility. All pediatric attendings will have an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.   In addition to teaching every faculty member is expected to carry a panel of primary care patients to whom they provide ongoing care and complex care coordination. There are opportunities for collaboration with other services in the department and hospital for research, program development, participation in residency recruitment, and other teaching activities.    

Qualifications

  • Must have an updated NYS medical license
  • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible
  • Experience in outpatient setting
  • Must enjoy teaching faculty, residents and students
