    In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi our teams accommodate more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually.     Jacobi Medical Center is in need of a Physician/Hospitalist

    Responsibilities

    The Jacobi Medical Center Academic Hospitalist of the Division of Hospital Medicine, provides the full scope of adult inpatient services which fall under his/her training including but not limited to:

    • diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care preventive care and health maintenance to adult and limited groups of adolescent patients efficiently and effectively
    • trains and supervises medical trainees, students and mid-level providers in the scope of adult hospital medicine which include but not limited to; hospital medicine, geriatrics, medical consultation, palliative care and selected outpatient care to support the overall mission of the medical center and department of medicine by addressing the needs of the population served.

    Qualifications

    • Current NYS license
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in internal medicine.  If Board Eligible at time of hire, MUST be Board Certified within 3 years of hire date.
    • Current DEA registration
    • Current BLS or advanced CPR certification
