    In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County our teams accommodate more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.



    • Performs complete pre-operative history and physicals on all surgical patients, identifying ans alerting the surgeon to any disqualifying conditions that present
    • Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
    • Orders, collects and performs appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies, such as routine laboratory tests, EMG, elctrocardiogram and radiologic examinations including arthogram, ultrasound, CT, MRI and bone scan studies
    • Implements therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate
    • Performs first assistant duties in all surgical procedures.
    • Formulates and implements discharge planning and clinical follow-up in conjunction with surgeon
    • Dictates discharge summaries
    • Evaluates and provides appropriate intervention (in conjunction with supervising surgeon) for ER and nursing home patients
    • Answers consults from the ED and for Orthopedics


    • Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
    • Formulates treatment plan for orthopedic conditions within their scope of prctice
    • Performs compartment pressure measurements, digital blocks and regional anesthesia
    • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as aspirations and injections of loints, bursars and cysts.
    • Performs closed reductions of fractures and dislocations
    • Applies braces, casts, splints and other orthopedic appliances
    • Assists in the surgical suite including first assist, deep and superficial wound closure, application of internal devices and any other procedures delegated by the supervising orthopedic surgeon.


    • Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
    • Current board certification from NCCPA
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Licensed Physician Assistant by NYS Department of Education
    • Current BLS
    • Current DEA certification
    • Current infection control
