In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem Harlem is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The Primary Care Physician (PCP) at Harlem Hospital is responsible for the management of patients receiving services in Primary Care Clinic. The PCP reports to the Chief of the Division of Ambulatory Care Services (Division) of the department of Medicine and the Director of Medicine. After completing an initial focused professional evaluation (FPPE) during the 2nd quarter of employment, the Chief and Director evaluates the PCP on a semi-annual basis with regards to the competences of the American Board of Internal Medicine, quality of care, departmental meetings, compliance with clinical guidelines and algorithms, achievement of defined goals, including the goals of the direction of the Director as part of the Department's ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) program.
This is a full time position. The PCP spends 100% of his/her time in clinic activities including supervision of residents.
